- President’s report (Toby / WT8O):
- June meeting minutes approved as presented.
- Appeal to the group to form committees to help with Public Service Events.
- Request for NET controllers to send in their check-in list, so we can have a database.
- Field Day planning & execution was superb, Toby thanked Fred & Gail – K8FH & KD8GGM – for sharing their equipment and HAM Radio expertise with the CLUB for years & years.
- Everyone gave Fred & Gail a big round of applause.
- Secretary’s report (Baji / K8IIT):
- We have several NET Control slots open for the rest of the year, if interested please email – K8iitm@GMail.com
- Vice President – Ed / K8NVR:
- Ed had a number of items to discuss with the group, they listed separately by topic.
- Repeaters & Towers Report: Ed first gave us a report on the status of the repeaters & towers. The 440 & 220 repeater equipment have backup replacements in case of failure, or they’re serviceable. The 2 meter repeater however is mostly built using SMDs (Surface Mounted Devices), which are a whole lot of electronics on a single chip & are not serviceable. Since we’re consuming electricity to keep the South tower lighted, Ed suggested that the club make a fair donation to Isaac Walton, to defray their cost in electric bills. Ed also mentioned that the club needs to dismantle & relocate the 6M tower & antenna from their current location.
- Field Day Report: Our club’s performance on FT8 was phenomenal, the two FT8 stations ran like gangbusters. We made a number of contacts on 6M, which was open a lot. A separate report of total contacts & points by band & operator will probably be published by the club soon. The Millstream Park, arranged by Toby – WT8O, has been a great location and it is quite likely that this year we may have the best score in 25 years.
- OHIO – QSO – PARTY: On the fourth Saturday in August, 8/22/26, the OHIO-QSO-PARTY will be held from noon to midnight. It runs a lot like field day, and the club is looking for operators that are within 35 miles of downtown Medina, to operate from home.

- November Sweepstakes: Another great event that is supported in N3FJP software. Stations in the United States and Canada (including territories and possessions) exchange information with as many other US and Canadian stations as possible on the 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meter bands.
- More info at: https://www.arrl.org/sweepstakes
- Jane / K8JGR:
- NOARS club is organizing a picnic for local radio clubs on Sunday, August 9th.
- Webmaster’s report (Dudley / WA1X):
- The club’s website is live at https://W8EOC.ORG .
- Looking for content, ideas include – pictures / videos from field day, scores from field day participation, an events calendar.
- Dudley welcomes content writers to blog on the WordPress platform.
- Suggestions, comments & new content are welcome, please send them to:
- Diane / KD8SSX:

- Solomon / KF8GOV:
- Mentioned that the annual Light Houses on the air event is scheduled for August 29 & 30.

- George gave a presentation on BuddiPole di-pole antenna during the Field Day event, and he requested that the CLUB should get extra points for it.
- More information at: https://www.buddipole.com/

- Wishes to pursue the extra points for the club from participating in Field Day.
