- Treasurer’s report by Dave – KE8APO – was submitted and accepted.
In addition to the usual business, Isaac Walton – the organization that hosts the South tower – received a donation from our club, to help defray their electric bill. They thanked us for the donation.
- President’s report (Toby / WT8O):
- August meeting minutes approved as presented.
- Toby informed the group that Jerry – KE8IPL – wants to have 2 JOTA stations LIVE, to communicate with scouts, during their annual JOTA October 16-18 & drum up some interest in HAM radio.
- Toby also mentioned that John – K8JEK – was recently injured while using a weed whacker & is recovering from the injuries. Our best wishes to John & family for a quick recovery.

- Gail / KD8GGM: We’ll be having our annual summer picnic on Sunday September 20th, this will be catered so please don’t bring anything.
- Vice President – Ed / K8NVR:
- Officials at Isaac Walton accepted our donation.
- KE8APO & WT8O are helping KD8SSX with setting up her new HF antenna, so our most prolific FT8 user / contester can get back on the air.
- Ed thanked Dave – NK0K – for generously donating equipment to the CLUB, which has raised over $800 at the HAMFEST. Some of Dave’s donations will be available at the CLUB picnic on September 20th.
- The tower at the Career Center needs maintenance & Ed is reaching out to the school.
- Diane / KD8SSX:
- Diane distributed forms to nominate individuals for the 2026 election which will include two trustees and all of executives, namely:
- President
- Vice-President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Trustee 1
- Trustee 2
- With great sadness, Diane announced that her health has taken a downturn and that she is resigning as membership chair & chair of the Sunshine committee. She has dutifully performed these roles for the CLUB for a very long time. A number of people spoke up to convey their best wishes to her & thanked her for dedicated service.
The meeting adjourned at 19:45, and it was followed by a nice presentation on Listening to Shortwave Radio by Doug – KD8SST.
